I know it's bad. It has been so long since my last post and I am ashamed. I always have a guilty conscience when I don't blog for long periods of time. Things have just been CRAZY. With some of the biggest obstacles I have ever faced in my life I just haven't felt inspired to blog. Enough with my rant though, I decided to treat you to an absolutely delightful little wedding we did recently. Burlap, Garden Roses, a soft palette and rustic venue... how can it get much better. I hope to have another second to breathe in order to catch up with you guys again soon. I miss ya!

Mixing Pinks

I'm not usually the kind of gal to mix blue based pinks and red based pinks but for some reason this one just clicked. Sometimes when you have colours that bridge to another colour you can pull off anything.

The Wedding Details

I finally have the photos of the rest of the wedding. I thought I would share some of the photos of centerpieces, boutonnieres and standards that were not shown in my previous post of this wedding. Still loving how unique this wedding was with the bright orange, navy blue and chartreuse green.

Have To Love Wedding Photographers!

They get such beautiful pictures of our work. It is so nice to get a glimpse at the wedding that you have been planning and working on for so long and it wouldn't be possible without our photographer friends. This wedding was shot by Photos By Tray C and florals of course were done by me and the rest of the floral crew at Sweetpea's. Gotta love a bride who goes for a super unique colour palette of Navy, Orange and Chartreuse. Turned out wonderfully!

Sweetpea's & Wedding Magazines

Just thought I should share with you some of the fabulous arrangements and boutonnieres that were done at Sweetpea's by my co-worker for a Weddingbells magazine photo shoot. The theme was "Preppy, Mod, Gossip Girl" and I must say Molly pulled it off flawlessly. 

Feeling Grey

Alright spring I'm ready for you. I have had enough of grey mush, wet feet and not knowing whether or not I need to wear my winter coat in the morning. I am ready for gardening, the new garden center and doing spring urns all around the city. I cannot wait any longer and truly feel that when this groggy grey weather leaves so will my groggy grey mood. 

I must say that these little guys may be grey but they certainly are not groggy. I think they are exquisite.

Behold Some Bouquets

I know it's been a while since I've posted pictures of arrangements/bouquets but it has just been so busy at the shop. I swear I am making about a hundred bouquets per weekend and I seriously do not stop designing for 8 hours straight. There is just no time to take pictures of my work before it goes out the door. The good new is that I adore making as many bouquets as I do and I am so thrilled to be as busy as I am, it is just so much fun. I may never be rich but I absolutely love what I do and I wouldn't trade it for anything. So here's to a million bouquets to come and decades of working hard in my interesting little industry.

It's a shame the Lily is missing one of it's petals I cannot stop staring at it but I just had to show you this colour palette.

I don't quite know how I feel about this arrangement. The Hydrangeas are too symmetrical and grocery store bouquets have ruined Lilies for me. However, I do like the shape and still think it is pretty.

English Country Garden: Tres Chic or Too Much?

I was ecstatic when this order came in. With the only instructions at hand to make it "English Country Garden" and to use my favorite crackled pot I was ready to go. I must say it brought me back to my East of Eliza days because without working there I must say I would have had no idea what color palette it was. English country garden is anything and everything meadowy meets shabby chic. Personally we all know I love a tone-on-tone palette but this one I still have a soft spot for. Ranging from pastel yellows, to muted blues, to lavender purples and to pale pinks it is anything but tone-on-tone but still gives off a pleasing vibe. What do you think?

            

What Palette Are You?

I must share what I have been working on all weekend for East of Eliza's blog. I ended up being the last result when all web companies had failed us. With no graphic design skills and no programs besides paint to try to pull offsomething slightly tasteful this is what I came up with. These banners are meant as a tool to help men pick out what kind of colour palette their significant other would like for Valentines Day. East of Eliza has a radio add playing on 97.3 fm which is why I have been working until all hours of the night trying to complete this mind boggling paint task before today! Anyways, please ignore all of the measurement and quality discrepancies I tried my best with what I had!
