Design Idea's

A lot of big changes have been happening in my life. I am officially going to be on my own for the first time in three years. Parkdale here I come, I've missed you! After living with my sweetheart for the past three years I am going to have to settle for a very quaint Bachelor. My quest for you is to see if you have any design ideas to maximize small space and increase storage in my tiny little apartment. Things change and I am very excited to start this new chapter of my life.

Missing My Other Half

My sweetie has gone to Vancouver for a month to work on a documentary and has left little old me home with the cats. It's been a rough couple of weeks and there are still two more to go until he comes home. I haven't been blogging as much as I would like because I just haven't felt as inspired as I am when he is home. I am excited about how this is making me grow as a person but it is certainly not easy. I have been just doing my best to have lots of girl time and keep my house filled with flowers.

Here is the trailer for the video he is working on which just got accepted into a film festival.

Green Fabric

I know it might seem kind of weird but have you ever gone to Value Village and looked at their bed sheets? I honestly have found dozens of beautiful floral prints and when you consider the fact that you are getting five or so yards for two dollars it is such a steal! Not to mention that it is an extremely eco-friendly way to go about sewing. Here are some of my "Sash Pillows" that I have made in order to make my living room a little more cozy. Thankfully, my sweetie bought me a sewing machine for my birthday so I no longer have to sew everything by hand.

Second Anniversary

This weekend will by my second year anniversary with my sweetheart. He has taught me so much about love, myself and how to live. We are truly two peas in a pod and I am so excited to hopefully spend the rest of my life with him. Yesterday as an anniversary gift we both went out to get matching tattoos. Now I know you might think that getting tattoos about a significant other is a terrible idea but it depends on how you look at it. If by any chance something did happen to us I would never in a million years want to forget about these past two amazing years of my life and how much I have grown as a person. I have had this little mustache drawn out for about a year now for me but we then had to figure something out that would represent me on him. The only thing we could both think about was flowers. So I plopped myself down and drew him a Tudor Rose with the words "True Love" around it. I liked the Rose so much that I decided to get it as well but with the banner "Little Florist" around it so that it wouldn't be just a flower on him it would represent me as an artist and a florist. Et Voila! Here is to another year together!
